As one of Fiji’s premier hotel destinations, the Radisson Blu is genuinely passionate about providing the best in service and standards for their guests. They are also extremely passionate about reducing any impact its operations have on the environment and is regularly implementing innovative carbon-reducing solutions, including the commissioning of the largest hotel roof-mounted solar system in the South Pacific.
The PV grid connect system, designed, procured, and installed by Clay Energy, is a Sunergise lease model and features over 1,500 solar panels, as well as various inverters to supply the 3-phase power, which provides up to 20% of the resort’s daily energy requirements.
Working with EarthCheck, a world leader in tourism benchmarking and certification, the Resort estimates that CO2 emissions have been reduced by more than 410 tonnes per annum, equivalent to planting 11,000 trees.
