The solar/diesel/battery hybrid power system was designed and installed by Clay Energy as an EPC project to provide 24-hour power supply to the island customers.
A SMA Sunny Island three phase multi-cluster inverter system converts the DC battery energy into normal 240/415Vac power for the island’s loads and will automatically recharge the cluster battery bank via the AC bus (generator and/or the STP Tripower grid connect inverters). The generator is interfaced with the inverter system which starts the generator when required to recharge the battery bank.
